832 - Clondalkin was sacked

Clondalkin was sacked by Danish Vikings ,the monastery was burned down to the ground.

Vikings under the leadership of Turgesius plundered the monastery at Armagh 3 times in one month. Armaghs town commander Forman, fled at the sight of vikings approaching, carrying with him the relics of the Cathedral.

The island Sheppey was pillaged by heathens.
Ansgar became bishop of Hamburg and for all heathen Danes,Swedes and Slavs, this caused a series of hit and run viking raids.
