King Godfred strengthened the Dannevirke, he constructed Kovirke, the wall went from sea to sea. The defensive wall should protect the main wall and Hærvejen. Kovirke was ca 2 meter tall and 7 meter in width. The moat in front of the wall was 4 meter in width & 3 meter deep. King Godfred build a shipyard at Aarhus. Swedes had captured Blekinge.
