Harald Klak moved into Southern Jutland with a Frankish army. The Godfredsons avoided to fight and retreated to an island, where they could hide behind their navy, they made several attacks into Holstein. The Frankish army then took 40 hostages and pillaged the surrounding area but was powerless against viking tactics and left Jutland.
