934 - Henry the fowler attacked

Gnupa started to raid the coasts of Germany so German king Henry the Fowler moved an army against the Danes, he won and forced their leader Gnupa to baptize and pay tax , Gnupa was of Swedish heritage. 150 year later Adam of Bremen wrote in his archbishop chronicle that a Swedish viking leader named Olaf in 900 with force conquered the Southern Jutland area. The Swedish rule must have stopped a few years after Henry the Fowler`s campaign. Hardegon(Hardeknud) Svendson who from Nortmannia(Normandy or Norway), but some later tradition claimed that it was Gorm the old who led the reconquest. A wall was build outside Aarhus.
